The pictures taken by Sara at the Christmas Dance this year are lost. We are not entirely certain as to what happened to them in trying to transfer them for posting. They were on this disk then disappeared. It is unfortunate but these things happen. We have tried our best to recover them but nothing has been accomplished in this effort.
Christmas Parade Pics
Posted by: | CommentsThe downtown Kennesaw Christmas Parade was enjoyed by all. Our members came and supported the event well and performed a demo for the City of Kennesaw. We continue to promote square dancing as a fun, inexpensive, and healthy alternative for staying fit and entertainment. Where else can you go for twice a month for three months for only $20. This equates to approximately $3 per two-hours of entertainment.
Below are just a few shots of our Christmas Parade event & Demo:

hosts our annual
SQUARE DANCE OPEN HOUSE
Come check out the benefits of square dancing. Our OPEN HOUSE IS FREE so you can try it out. Our classes run for 10 weeks – consists of three 10-week sessions that will finish up with you dancing at most club dances. Of course, you can go further with advanced dancing but it is not necessary to continue to have some good fun and fellowship. It is a source of excercising without feeling like your exercising.
Our caller, Ray Mauney, will work with you each week to teach you the moves involved. You will learn with repetition and recall. We will provide some online resources you can use for refreshers in between classes. It is a good source of mental health as well as physical with little costs. The lessons cost $50 for each ten week session (2-hours each session – where else can you go to have fun for $2.50/hr?)
Generally, Each club dance runs for two hour time slots and cost about $7 dollars to dance when you are not members. Kennesaw Square Dealers dance the 1st and 3rd Friday evenings of each month. There are other local clubs to attend to dance more nights if desired. It is a great way to fellowship with people and have fun at the same time.
We do look forward to seeing you in two weeks to give it a try. Remember – Bring a friend as well!
